The Spanish football team returned to a riotious reception in the Spanish capital, World Cup-in tow, to celebrate amongst fellow compatriots yesterday. The team’s bus was emblazoned with the term ‘Campeones’, and even featured a replica of the tournament’s undoubted star, Paul the Octopus, who predicted the side’s march towards the trophy.

After a profoundly disappointing World Cup, the Premier League pre-season is already kicking into overdrive, with transfer rumours a-plenty and the welcome return of the Fantasy Premier League website to tide us over for now.
With Jabulani’s and vuvuzela’s finally out of the way, we’re able to indulge in idle transfer speculation, such Boruc to Fiorentina and Fabregas to Barcelona. Ahh – we feel better already.
