We’re on a three-ball on the opening day of the Open Championship and one of the handicaps on an evening card at Epsom for Thursday’s bets.
STEVE STRICKER is the one we like at St Andrews this week – the American averages more birdies than almost anyone else on the PGA Tour and it will take plenty of low scoring to be in contention around the famously forgiving links course this week.
He’s the 5/6 favourite in a three-ball with Sergio Garcia and Hiroyuki Fujita so we’ll go with that.
In racing, we like the look of AMENDS in the three-year-old handicap at Epsom at 7.45.
Jim Best’s gelding, who runs off bottom-weight, has the assistance of good conditional Kieren Fox this evening so he could go close off his featherweight granted any improvement from his handicap debut at Lingfield last week.
