Celtic will face Portuguese side Sporting Braga in the third qualifying round of the Champions League in the coming weeks.
The draw for the qualifying rounds of Europe’s premier club competition took place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon this morning (Friday).
Celtic were included among the unseeded sides in the non-champions section of the draw but when the alternatives were Fenerbahce, Ajax, Zenit St Petersburg and Dynamo Kiev, Bhoys boss Neil Lennon (pictured) will probably be relatively happy to have been landed two games against Braga.
Braga were runners-up in the Portuguese league last season, the best finish in the club’s 90-year history.
Just five points behind Benfica in the final reckoning, they denied Champions League regulars FC Porto a place in the competition this time round.
The first leg will take place in Portugal on 27/28 July with the return back at Parkhead a week later.
