16/07 The End of the Day

Home time. Time to enjoy a pampered dogs, sweeten your semen (yes, we're serious) and grab a spot on the couch for Jonathan Ross' BBC send-off.

JOE

Pic of the Day (above)

Mochi the dog enjoys a grooming session from stylist Pilen as they get ready to walk the catwalk (dogwalk?) during the ‘Patterns for Paws’ dogs fashion show in yesterday in West Hollywood. The event was held to benefit the Amanda Foundation, a Beverly Hills animal rescue facility, after donations towards the charity dropped by 70 percent since the US went into recession. Hopefully Mochi put her best paw forward to help out the ailing service.

Mood Swingometer

Today JOE has been feeling…sweet.

Though not in the way you may imagine. As part of our ongoing ‘How to Keep Her Happy’ relationship advice column, we’ve discovered oral sex enhancers which will actually enhance the taste of your semen, and sweeten the flavor – so now she’ll have no excuses. Point your lady towards the aforementioned article (which also includes enhancers for your woman’s lady-parts) and ensure a life of endless oral pleasures is well within your grasp.

Tonight’s Telly

Pick of the night: Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, BBC 1, 10:35pm.

Tonight marks the last-ever edition of Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, with a star-studded line-up to see Wossy off before his move to ITV this autumn. Joining Ross is English football legend David Beckham, Hollywood bad boy Mickey Rourke, martial arts star Jackie Chan, and a music performance from Roxy Music.

Movie pick: Gangs of New York, Film Four, 10:45pm

Time has been very kind to Martin Scorcese’s 19th century New York historical drama Gangs of New York, originally released in 2002. As the first Scorcese/Di Caprio collaboration (the actor and director have four movies under their belt thus far), critics unfairly maligned Leo’s performance, perhaps as the star was an easier target post-Titanic. Nonetheless, the highlight of tonight’s epic is still, without a doubt, Daniel Day-Lewis’ towering performance as the fearsome, villainous ‘Bill the Butcher’.

Live Like JOE

Stare down Jedward and live to tell the tale

JOE popped round to twin pop sensations Jedward during the week, and returned with a typical bizarre interview from the giant-haired X Factor alumni. If you haven’t had a gander at ‘pint with…’ section, there’s no better introduction than our suitably memorable encounter with the Lucan twins.
