Darren Clarke and Paul McGinley have been named as Colm Montgomerie’s vice-captain for the 2010 Ryder Cup.

Clarke appeared in five consecutive Ryder Cups between 1997 and 2006, and famously was undefeated in his final appearance.

Fellow Irishman Paul McGinley, who holed the winning putt in the 2002 Ryder Cup, has also been named as a vice-captain, alongside Dane Thomas Bjorn.

The Ryder Cup will take place in Celtic Manor, Wales this year between the first and third of October.
