Arsenal have ended their interest in Everton’s Phil Jagielka, after the Merseyside club refused to lower their asking price, according to reports.
Arsenal are searching for a centre back after the departures of William Gallas and Mikael Silvestre, and have so far only signed Frenchman Laurent Koscielny from Lorient.
Everton have set a £20 million price-tag on Jagielka, however, an amount Arsene Wenger is unwilling to spend. Jagielka has three caps for England.
