Roy Hodgson is set to make a bid for 36-year-old former Liverpool player and Finland international Sami Hyypia, according to reports.
Hyypia left Liverpool for Bayer Leverkusen only last aummer, but would be apparently willing to return to Liverpool in a player-coach role.
The 36-year-old made 459 for the Anfield club over ten seasons, and previously worked under Hodgson when the Englishman managed the Finland National team.
Hyypia only has a year left on his Bayer contract.
