Juventus are to offer midfielder Tiago Mendes to Liverpool as part of their bid for Javier Mascherano, according to reports.
Mascherano has been linked with a move to Juventus and Inter Milan all summer.
Juventus hope that their offer of ex-Chelsea player Tiago Mendes might make their offer more favourable for Roy Hodgson.
Tiago Mendes joined Juventus in 2007 for €13 million from Lyon, but he has since fallen out of favour.
He was loaned out to Atletico Madrid in 2010, and made 18 appearances for the Europa League champions.
