Giovanni Trappatoni has named a strong squad for Ireland’s clash with Argentina, the first ever soccer international at the all new Aviva Stadium.
Injury worry Shay Given has been named in the squad, as has Robbie Keane, Damien Duff, Kevin Kilbane and Aiden McGeady.
“It will be a special occasion for everyone to be involved in the first ever game in Aviva Stadium and Argentina will be a test for our players,†Trappatoni said.
“The game comes at a crucial time in our preparation for the European Championship qualifying campaign and we must use it to strengthen our squad for the opening qualifiers against Armenia and Andorra in September.â€
The game will take place on 11 August.
