Former England U-19 Cricket captain Azeem Rafiq has been suspended ahead of a disciplinary hearing following a vulgar Twitter tirade. Yorkshire all-rounder Rafiq was stripped of his captaincy for a number of indiscretions, such as staying out late for Yorkshire’s first test against Northampton whilst the match was taking place. Disheartened, the 19-year-old took to Twitter, calling his U-19 coach John Abraham all manner of insults:
“What a f***ing farsee… John Abrahams is a useless c**t… ECB prove it again what incompetent people are working for them!! John Abrahams is a useless w****r.”
The English Cricket Board has now launched a separate inquiry into Rafiq’s rant, which was hastily deleted by the man himself.
