Yikes. The Sun today reports on Staci Hargreaves, who sat trial yesterday after being accused of ramming her shoes into Gavin Taylor’s left eye during a boozy, late-night taxi bust-up.
A court heard yesterday that the stiletto heel of Hargreaves’ shoe fractured the victim’s eye socket and burst a blod vessel in his brain. Mr Taylor, 28, refused to take part in yesterdays trial and will not give evidence, though he has apparently made a ‘good’ recovery and saved his sight.
Detective Patrick Keegan said Huddersfield native Hargreaves’ could not recall the attack, after consuming nine bottles of WKD vodkas and 18 shots of sambuca.
Taxi driver Mohammed Akbar said that Mr Taylor and Hargreaves had been fighting the entire journey, telling the court: “There was a commotion, like a punch-up. Then a leg came between the two seats, it was quick.â€
