Aiden McGeady is expected to sign for Spartak Moscow today after Celtic agreed a deal with the Russian giants reportedly worth £9.5m.

McGeady had previously played down the possibility of a move to the Russian capital, stating that he would rather move to the English Premier League.

He is set to visit Russia today, however, along with his girlfriend to discuss the move.

The offered salary is said to be in the region of £45,000 a week, over twice what he is currently earning at Parkhead.

Another Irishman set to leave Celtic is Cillian Sheridan, who is likely to join Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia in a £500,000 deal.
