SPL side Glasgow Rangers have agreed a fee with Premier League side Stoke City for the transfer of striker James Beattie.
The 32-year old joined Stoke from Sheffield United in January 2009 and scored five goals in 38 appearances, but did not always see eye to eye with Potters’ boss Tony Pulis and had a much publicised dispute with Pulis in December of last year.
Rangers will be the sixth club of Beattie’s career after spells at Blackburn Rovers, Southampton, Everton, Sheffield United and Stoke City. Beattie has also been capped five times for England.
The transfer fee has yet to be disclosed.
