North Korea has seemingly stepped up its propaganda war against South Korea and the United States by opening a Twitter account.
North Korea’s government-run Uriminzokkiri website posted an announcement last week saying it has a Twitter account registered as uriminzok and a YouTube channel.
Uriminzok has gathered over 3,000 followers since late last week and has tweeted 11 links to Uriminzokkiri reports. These have included threats of “merciless retaliation” against South Korea and the Americans and a report which called South Korean president Lee Myung-bak’s administration a “prostitute of the US.”
