Rangers have agreed a deal with Manchester City to sign Slovakian international Vladimir Weiss on a season-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old Slovakian, who impressed at the World Cup, will be Walter Smith’s second signing of the summer after the £1.5million capture of James Beattie from Stoke City.
Weiss went on loan to Bolton last season, and made 13 appearances for the Owen Coyle’s Trotters.
The Man City player had been linked with a move to Old-firm rivals Celtic, and a move was thought to be close to completion.
