Don’t get too excited, but this week is set to be very sunny and warm in Ireland

Colm Boohig

Oh my.

A lot of the country is basking in the sunshiiiiiine (sorry) this Sunday and, judging by reports, the lovely weather is set to continue throughout the week.

According to Met ÉireannMonday is scheduled to see the odd shower but positively delightful temperatures between 18 and 21 degrees, with Tuesday similar-looking, although it will be slightly cooler and cloudier in northern and eastern areas.

Wednesday will be a cloudy and showery but, crucially, it’ll be another warm day and temperatures could peak at 21 degrees.

Wait for the end of the week and into the Bank Holiday though, because the sun is set to shine and Thursday in particular is set to be a glorious 22 degrees.

Get out those damn barbecues (but bring a jacket, because it’s Ireland).
