A sunny three-day weekend? Yes please.
If you happen to overhear anyone saying that “the weather is grand but it’s a bit too hot”, you’ve our permission to lock them away in their homes until winter comes. You definitely won’t be making plans with them over the long weekend though because the recent mini-heatwave looks set to continue.
Thursday will see plenty of good spells of sunshine around the country with top temperatures of 20 to 23 C. There’s even a sunburn warning in place. How rare is that?
High sunburn risk again today. Protect yourself. ☀️ pic.twitter.com/ANh6diiM2X

Similar conditions are expected on Friday also, but there’s a possibility that some cloud will develop locally at times and that an odd shower may happen in the southwest of the country. Top temperatures of 21 to 23 C, perfect conditions for a beer garden or barbecue then.
The weekend is shaping up to be a very humid one with hazy sunshine developing in the western and southern areas. Cloud will increase gradually in the more northern and eastern areas, creating the potential of some scattered showers.
Sunday will be another humid day, with a mix of hazy sunshine and cloudy misty periods. Temperatures will range from the high teens to the low twenties. The heat and humidity might create some local downpours although it’s expected that the majority of the coastal areas will remain dry.
Clear your schedule for Bank Holiday Monday because temperatures are expected to be between 17 to 21 C.
Overall, the weather is looking great for the Bank Holiday weekend so make the most of it.
