Here’s what this week’s weather looks like in Ireland

Colm Boohig

Spring is here.

We’re very, very gradually getting to a stage where we don’t have to make faces akin to this when stepping outside in Ireland.

Yes, April is up and running and the weather this week makes for pretty decent, if not spectacular, viewing.

According to Met Éireann, Monday will be cool, but relatively dry throughout the nation, with temperatures ranging from 8 to 12 degrees.

Tuesday will be very similar, with the odd chance of rain in western parts of the country in the evening time. Wednesday, though, will be quite temperamental, with heavy showers and high winds mixed in with the occasional glimpse of sunshine, all set to a maximum temperature of 10 degrees.

The state of play is set to be very similar on Thursday, but it will be ever so slightly warmer and the wind should ease off in the evening time.

Look, we’re getting there. Someday soon, the citizens of our nation will look like this when they step out into the great outdoors.

Yes, just like Christian Bale.
