It looks like the weather is actually going to be nice this week in Ireland

Colm Boohig

We’ll take this forecast for Paddy’s Day.

We’re not exactly advising rocking up in shorts and flip flops to a garden party, but after that very long winter, the weather looks to be taking a turn for the better this week.

With St. Patrick’s Day on Thursday, we’re take anything dry.

According to Met Éireann, Monday is set to be dry and sunny across the country, with temperatures peaking at a positively balmy 13 degrees.

Tuesday looks to be very similar after the morning fog gives way, but coastal areas around the north, east and south may feel a bit cooler at 9 degrees thanks to the ol’ easterly winds.

The feelgood factor is set to remain for the rest of the week, with Wednesday in particular looking like a possible 15 degree scorcher in the likes of Connacht and Munster, with eastern parts of Ireland looking a bit cooler, but still dry all the same.
