It’s all for a great cause too.
The Neil Prendeville Show on Cork’s RedFM are doing a Christmas lights special this year, highlighting the Cork houses that have made the most effort or who are raising money for local charities.
They’ve come across this absolutely amazing house in Youghal that’s all lit up for a brilliant cause.
The guy who owns the house is Pat Carey and he’s gone to such lengths for a special reason.
Pat got cancer on Christmas eve three years ago but thankfully he’s in full health now and has never felt better.
He decorated his house to bring some festive cheer to the local area and to raise money for the Mercy Hospital where he was treated.
RedFM told us it takes Pat a full three weeks going up and down a ladder to put the lights up which is a hell of an effort.
The lights at this house will officially be turned on this Saturday at 6pm and there will be Christmas Carols sang by the local choir and loads of treats for the kids who come along.
It’s such a kind and selfless gesture by Pat, what a hero.
