This made us hungry.

Food & Wine magazine have given their verdict on the best restaurant in Ireland, as well as the best restaurants in each province.

The overall winner was Thornton’s Restaurant, which is situated in Dublin’s Fitzwilliam Hotel on St. Stephen’s Green.

Here’s head chef Kevin Thornton, boosting your appetite by 100 percent.

The best restaurant in the west of Ireland went to the Aniar Restaurant in Galway. Up north, the accolade was received by The Ox in Belfast. Munster’s finest dining can be found in 1826 Adare, Co. Limerick.

The prize for best casual dining went to The Terra Madre Café on Bachelor’s Walk in Dublin.

The democratic opinion, however, was different to that of Food & Wine’s judges. That particular award was won by Vermillion Indian Cuisine, which is located in Terenure.

Please hurry up, lunchtime.
