It looks like it will be safe to go outside, but bring your jackets anyway.
Beggers can’t be choosers when it comes to wishing for stunning weather in January in Ireland, but we’ll take this weekend’s forecast.

According to Met Éireann, today will see moderate temperatures of around 10 degrees with blustery winds but it will be dry enough, with scattered showers in the west and northwest.
Saturday looks to be the same, with rain spreading from the southwest in the afternoon, but temperatures will be similar to today’s, along with moderate winds.
Sunday is set to be the warmest day of the weekend, but don’t get too excited because highs are only forecasted from 12 to 13 degrees. It will be largely overcast, with rain scheduled on the west and south coasts for a time, getting heavier in the evening.

Overall, not too bad we suppose.
