“Mother of God, this would give you a heart attack.”
Cork native Ettie Carroll got more than she bargained for when she allowed her grand-nephew, Ryan Croke, to take her on a virtual rollercoaster tour… and it made for brilliant viewing.
Ryan is a student in Dunmanway’s Maria Immaculata Community College who has helped form Citosc – the student-run firm that produces the Google Cardboard-inspired virtual reality experience, Virtualis – which is entering the All-Ireland Student Enterprise finals in Croke Park.
We imagine they will make quite the impact after seeing this video.
As Ryan explained to JOE, he decided to test out the product on his grand-aunt, which is where Ettie stars with some truly memorable quotes.
“Oh Mother of God, I’ve lost five stone” and “What you mean f*cking cool?” are just a couple of standout moments from the clip.
But, trust us, we’re only tipping the iceberg, so take a look at the excellent NSFW video below.
