The more counties that follow suit, the better.
It’s been a while since the prices of petrol and diesel have been as low as they are at the moment.
Figures released by the AA today revealed the cheapest and most expensive counties to buy fuel in Ireland, but by and large, it’s a good time for motorists to save a few quid at the petrol pumps.
Last week, we brought you a picture of a garage in Ballina in Mayo that was selling diesel for 99.9 cent per litre and it’s not the only one, as, courtesy of our readers, we have evidence that garages in both Roscommon and Longford are doing likewise this morning.

If any readers have pictorial evidence of garages in their own counties with similar prices feel free to send them our way via the usual channels below; this is a movement that everyone can get behind.
Cheers to Andy Whitton and Jonathan Barry for sending these our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102, editorial@JOE.ie or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
