True Detective star Colin Farrell has joined the cast of the Harry Potter spin-off movie Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.
It was revealed that Farrell will play the role of a wizard named Graves who meets Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) in New York.
With a strong Irish presence through the Gleesons and others in the original movies, it’s good to see another Irish actor representing us in what is sure to be a huge movie.
Directed by David Yates, who directed the last four Harry Potter movies, the spin-off will be set 70 years before the events in the Harry Potter books and will follow Scamader as he travels around the world discovering magical creatures.
Scamander will eventually create the book that Harry and his friends use in his classes in Hogwarts.
