Staying in tonight? We’ve got you covered.
We’re currently in that really awkward stage between the World Cup and the Premier League, where we’re not quite sure what to do with ourselves.
But luckily, there’s some damn good movies for us to watch on TV tonight to help us get by.
Friday 27 July:
Eat Pray Love – RTE 2 – 9pm
Julia Roberts stars in this biographical, romantic drama from 2010. It was produced by Brad Pitt and starred James Franco and Viola Davis, which might explain why it grossed $204.6 million compared to its $60 million budget.
The Bourne Identity – ITV 4 – 8pm
The first in a series that paved the way for a brilliant acting career for Matt Damon. If you’re in the mood for a top class action movie, don’t miss this.
Natural Born Killers – Dave – 9pm
Woody Harrelson, Robert Downey Jr, Juliette Lewis and Tommy Lee Jones all star in this black comedy. Based on an original screenplay by Quentin Tarantino, this is a good one for your Friday night.
Disturbia – BBC One – 12.05pm
The first of two movies on this list that are so bad that they’re good. Shia LaBeouf stars in a creepy horror movie that will make you laugh more than it will make you scream.
Sharknado – Comedy Central – 12pm
This is obviously the second movie on the list that’s so bad that it’s good. When the premise of a movie is sharks being flown on to land as a result of a tornado, you know it’s going to be a bit of a weird one… You’ll get a laugh out of it though.
Jumper – Syfy – 9pm
One for the conspiracy theorists out there… Jumper follows a young man (Hayden Christensen) travelling through time to avoid being caught by a secret society. Samuel L. Jackson features too, which is always a plus…
