To begin with, I’m going to shock you all to your very core by saying that cinematic classics like Battlefield Earth, Showgirls and Sex Lives of the Potato Men are not on this list.
I’ll give you a few seconds to adjust to this complete and utter blasphemy by movie bible IMDB.
While you’re hanging around, I might as well tell you that some film called The Sheepshank Redemption has proven to be quite popular with movie lovers, in fact I wrote about its brilliance before.
IMDB has been in existence for 25 years now and in that time, it has become the go-to website for movie lovers that are looking to see if a film is worth a watch or not, so this list is a pretty good gauge of what film fans adore. We all know how the site works, fans get to rate films based on their own impressions, so there are pros and cons with any review.
IMDB have just revealed the most popular films for every year from 1990-2014 and it makes for interesting reading.
For shame if you haven’t seen them all. If this is the case, take tomorrow off work and binge watch every movie that you haven’t seen. I’m sure that your boss will understand!
