There were some developments over the weekend.
We presume you’re up to date on whole Sony/The Interview/North Korea story at this point.
Cyberterrorists hacked Sony, leaked documents online, and threatened cinemas who showed Seth Rogan and James Franco’s movie with “9/11 style” attacks.
North Korea was strongly linked with the threats but over the weekend their foreign ministry distanced themselves from the cyberterrorism attacks.
Sony, who announced on Wednesday that they were cancelling the release of the movie, seem to have had a change of heart.
A lawyer for Sony, David Boies, was a guest on the NBC show Meet The Press, he said that “Sony only delayed this. Sony has been fighting to get this picture distributed. It will be distributed”.
“How it’s going to be distributed, I don’t think anybody knows quite yet. But it’s going to be distributed”.
We don’t know about you but we really want to see this movie now. Don’t tell North Korea we said that, thanks.
