It’s Mission: Impossible not to get a giddy thrill from this.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to replicate Tom Cruise’ death-defying stunts from the Mission: Impossible saga.
From the opening ‘wire drop’ in Brian DePalma’s original film right up to the moment when Ethan Hunt is hanging off the edge of a plane in Rogue Nation, there’s no denying that the franchise has consistently upped the adrenaline.
In fact, we managed to catch up up Wade Eastwood – Tom Cruise’s personal stuntman on all the films – to get his take on the most dangerous scenes and while we’re all pumped for Mission: Impossible – Fallout, we’re not sure if James Corden is going to feature as the big baddie.
The chatshow host did his best ‘IMF audition’ when he recently went for a little bit of skydiving with Tom Cruise. As you do.
After trying the impossible – to actually outrun Cruise – Corden strapped himself in as the plane took off from the California desert.
After seeking some aerial thrills in the likes of Top Gun, Edge of Tomorrow, The Mummy, and the Mission: Impossible films, this clip must have been a walk in the park for Cruise.
As for Corden, well, let’s just say it’s a good thing that they didn’t actually have a pre-flight snack for the comedian to eat.
The whole clip should give you a laugh but the buildup to big bad drop takes place at the 8:50 mark.
If anyone cares to see James Corden practically crap himself, this is for you.
