John Wick 3 is coming because the world can be bloody great sometimes

Paul Moore

Locked and loaded.

Like anyone that has brilliant taste in films, we’re huge fans of John Wick because the Keanu Reeves actioner was a breath of fresh air upon its release. If you haven’t seen it then you’re seriously missing out – our own Eoghan Doherty even got the details from the star himself – but in the film, Reeves plays a seemingly unstoppable retired hitman that’s seeking vengeance for… wait for it… the killing of his beloved puppy, Daisy, at the hands of the Russian mafia.

We shit you not. Trust us, it’s superb.

The trailer for the sequel has just been released and we’re delighted to say that Collider have news on a third installment from director Chad Stahelski.

Speaking about John Wick: Chapter Three, he says: “The studio has asked us to put our heads together and see if we can come up with something. Winston’s [Ian McShane] is a big part of the next one, so is Lance Reddick. We’ve got some ideas.”

Yes!

Stahelski also shed some light about what fans can expect in the sequel “When it came to coming up with a story idea, we had like ten bad ideas, and they we were like, ‘fuck it,’ what would have just happened the next day. Once we stopped worrying about ourselves, it was fun. Is it as good as the first one? I don’t know, that’s personal opinion. Did we go better in some ways? Yes. Did we explore the character more? Yes. It’s better, I think, technically. Is the enjoyment better? Yes, it’s there, but it’s completely different” he says.

We can’t tell you just how excited we are for John Wick: Chapter Two. Keanu Reeves is  – all guns blazing – into the cinemas on February 10, 2017.
