Alright, alright, alright.
Some actors seem like they’re part thespian (very fancy pants word there) and part chameleon because they’re so adept at changing roles and immersing themselves in characters.
For example; De Niro in Raging Bull, Daniel Day Lewis In The Name of The Father and Kirk Lazarus for Tropic Thunder all spring to mind. Hey, he’s the dude playin’ the dude, disguised as another dude after all.
You can add the name of Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey to that list because his choice of roles during the McConaissance has been very eclectic.
His nihilistic turn as Rust in True Detective was mesmerizing as was his chest-pumping and scene-stealing performance in The Wolf of Wall Street.
If you’ve seen Dallas Buyers Club then you’ll know that McConaughey is very dedicated to perfecting the look of his character but his latest role in Gold could be his most dramatic yet.
