Robert De Niro confirms work on a film with Martin Scorsese, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci will begin next year

We are ready

Carl Kinsella

What a cast.

Robert De Niro, currently promoting his movie The Intern, confirmed yesterday that he still intends to make a new gangster film alongside Al Pacino and Joe Pesci, directed by Martin Scorsese.

De Niro hasn’t worked with Scorsese since making Casino 20 years ago, and Joe Pesci has barely done any acting in that time – meaning that this movie should be really be a sight to behold.

The movie will be based on the non-fiction book I Heard You Paint Houses: The Story of the Biggest Mob Hit in History (about the murder of Jimmy Hoffa), and called either I Heard You Paint Houses or The Irishman).

De Niro said yesterday of the long-awaited film “”We are doing it… We should be doing it sometime next year. We’re slowly, slowly getting it in place.”

With those four working together, it’s safe to say our patience has already run out. Hurry up, lads.
