Here’s hoping that the Sith hits the fan.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens has film fans across the galaxy salivating in anticipation, it’s very likely that I’ll absolutely lose my s**t as December draws closer, but much like the Millennium Falcon when it moves into light speed, I sometimes move past films that are just in front of me.
Rian Johnson is the man that J.J Abrams will be passing the lightsaber onto for Episode VIII and it looks like he has just found his villain in Benicio Del Toro.
The Oscar winning actor looks set to join Daisy Ridley and Oscar Isaac, the only confirmed cast members so far, and Slash Film have translated some interesting quotes that Del Toro gave when speaking with Spanish radio station RAC 1.
When asked about his upcoming schedule he said, “Star Wars is coming up, we will see how that turns out. I think we start shooting in March. Ehhh, the thing is, they don’t let me talk too much about it. I’m like the villain. But we’ll see”.
This isn’t the first time that Del Toro was ventured into outer space, Marvel fans will remember him as The Collector in Guardians of The Galaxy, but he seems like a cracking choice for the Star Wars universe.
