The Inbetweeners sequel is coming sooner than you think…

The lads are back. And this time they're heading Down Under for more lad related craic

JOE

A sequel to The Inbetweeners was pretty inevitable, wasn’t it?

See the first one didn’t cost very much money to make but ended up racking in the bobs and creating stars of it’s four lead actors. When we say “stars” obviously we meant typecasting them to a pulp.

Anyway, the series is still repeated heavily and it’s obvious that the core fanbase is still very much there – just not in America for that shite remake. That went down about as well as a screaming toddler on a long-haul flight.

A sequel has been mooted for some time but news comes via The Hollywood Reporter that shooting is about to get underway in the coming weeks in Australia.

The creators of the show, Iain Morris and Damon Beesley will be directing from their own script, and promise kangaroo jokes and, possibly, koalas. Sound.

The first film is one of the highest grossing British flicks of the past decade and was pretty damn funny in fairness.

Expect to see it in Irish cinemas come next August.
