The cast in this is superb.
Regardless of the overall quality of a film, there are certain actors that you would watch in anything because they’ve got that unique mix of talent, charisma and magnetism about them. Jake Gyllenhaal is definitely one of these actors because the Oscar nominated star has consistently made very smart choices when it comes to the roles that he takes on.
We’re huge fans of his work – Donne Darko, Nightcrawler, Zodiac and End of Watch are all fantastic – but his latest offering, Nocturnal Animals, is already being hailed by critics as one of the best films from 2016. The cast alone reads like a director’s dream with Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Isla Fisher, Laura Linney, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Michael Sheen all featuring.
Tom Ford’s film has been described as “intoxicating, provocative, delicious” and earned a five-star review in The Guardian.
Plot’s it all about?: An art gallery owner is haunted by her ex-husband’s novel, a violent thriller she interprets as a veiled threat and a symbolic revenge tale.
Release date: November 18th.
