#TRAILERCHEST: The first full trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming is absolutely perfect

Paul Moore

Our spidey sense is tingling.

Plot’s it all about?: With great power comes…bla, bla, bla. We get it.

Sam Raimi and Marc Webb’s recent Spider-Man films went out of their way to hammer home the character’s origins, and while the franchise has enjoyed some high points and spectacular set-pieces – Spider-Man 2 being its zenith- the character has suffered in the last three movies.

Tom Holland’s cameo in Captain America: Civil War absolutely stole the show and director Jon Watts seems like he has retained much of what made Spidey’s latest on-screen performance so memorable. Simply put, Peter Parker is a teenage geek. He’s nervous, stumbling, shy and whip-smart in equal measure. Holland gets that and plays it to a tee.

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Our spidey sense is tingling after seeing this first glimpse of Spider-Man in action along with the villains, Vulture and Shocker.
