If it’s even nearly as good as the original we’re in for a treat.
In 2014, The Lego Movie was one of the biggest hits of the year.
Clever, thoughtful, funny both for kids and adults without trying too hard and with plenty of heart, watching it was as satisfying an experience as actually completing the construction of something difficult out of Lego.
Three years on, arguably the funniest character of the original has got a movie all of his own.
Plot’s it all about? With Zach Galifianakis’ Joker threatening to run riot in Gotham City, Batman realises he can’t fight him all on his own and needs to learn the value of teamwork to save the day.
Starring: Will Arnett, Rosario Dawson, Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cera, Ralph Fiennes, Jenny Slate, Mariah Carey
Directed by: Chris McKay
Irish and UK release date: 10 February 2017
