There are some actors that you would watch in any film and Brendan Gleeson is most definitely in that category, We’re such big fans of his that we would happily by tickets to see his starring role in ‘Paint Drying: The Magnolia Layer of Dulux’ because he’s always value for money.
Steve Jobs, Macbeth Michael Fassbender is quickly ascending to this status also after a series of impressive performances by the Kerryman. He’s also incredibly cool.
Frank, 12 Years A Slave, Inglourious Basterds, Shame and the X-Men films have seen the extremely likable star become a box-office hit with audiences around the world and his next project looks like it could be one of his biggest yet.
Deadline is reporting that Gleeson will play Fassbender’s dad in the big screen adaptation of Assassin’s Creed and the cast gets even better. Adopted Corkonian Jeremy Irons has also been cast as has The Dark Knight Rises star Marion Cotillard.
Macbeth is currently in cinemas while Fassbender’s next film, Steve Jobs, opens in Ireland on November 13.
