Pardon the pun but this is bloody brilliant
In the interest of full disclosure, this writer is the one person in the world that hasn’t seen Disney’s Frozen but I’m totally ok with this.
Why? Well I’ve seen John Carpenter’s classic 1982 horror The Thing more than anyone else in the world and to be honest, I’d rather watch that again for the 1,73 time rather than anything Elsa and her magic penguin, dragon, reindeer, snowman get up to.
Fans of Carpenter’s classic will instantly know the most iconic scene, when Kurt Russell’s character MacReady takes a veil of each scientists blood to test which one of them has been infected with the alien parasite.
Tense, bloody and violent, it’s Carpenter at his very best.
The Thing is an absolutely stunning piece of cinema which is why we absolutely loved this gory Disney treatment.
