Scarleeeeet for Luke Evans but we all know that he is bleedin’ deadly…

JOE is convinced that Hollywood is hell-bent on re-imagining the origins of cinemas most famous vampire Dracula.

We’re fairly certain that our own Bram Stoker based the character on Vlad the Impaler and gave the Prince of Darkness a pimped out house in Transylvania but the characters accent on film has always been a bit mad.

The new film Dracula: Untold, which was shot in Belfast and directed by Dubliner Gary Shore, is a solid supernatural action flick with plenty on offer for vampire fans.

Luke Evans is the latest man to sink his teeth into the role of Dracula and 98FM’s Laura Holland caught up with the star to see if he could guess the meaning of some well known Irish/Dublin slang words.

Evans’ co-star Sarah Gadon’s interpretation of ‘on the lash’ is interesting to say the least.

Take a look.
