“If you only knew the power of the Dark Side”.
Much like Luke Skywalker at the start of Episode IV: A New Hope, I’m incredibly excited and curious about what J.J Abrams has in store for us when Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released on December 18th.
The most recent trailer has only whetted my appetite further but now that the final trailer has been released, the internet has gone into hyperdrive with one burning issue casting a Death Star like shadow over the galaxy.
Where’s Luke? He’s not on the poster and the most famous Jedi in the galaxy has barely featured in all three trailers.
While I wish to remain as spoiler free as possible, there have been suggestions that Luke might be tempted to pick up the red lightsaber and throw some Sith at the Rebel Alliance/Resistance in Episode VII.
While I’ve no idea about the plot, it seems that the concept of Luke turning to the darkside has been mentioned before in this old interview with Mark Hamill, J.J Abrams, Kevin Smith and Jason Lee.
