With every new piece of footage we see from the sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man, we get a little bit more excited. Granted, that may be because expectations were lowered with the general ‘MEH-ness’ of the first film; but still, this looks pretty cool.
Marc Webb, the lad who directed the ace 500 Days of Summer (as well as the first Spidey), returns to the world of Peter Parker with an apparently bigger budget.
Joining stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone this time is Oscar winner Jamie Foxx as bad guy, Electro and Paul Giamatti as another foe, Rhino; while the ace Chris Cooper also makes an appearance.
Spider-Man creator, Stan Lee, introduces the short clip of a battle between Spider-Man and Electro in Times Square.
Awful enthusiastic is Stan… and so are we after watching that clip in fairness.
We’ll get to see the finished film this summer.
