Was I the best player on the field?
It’s no surprise to see that Will Ferrell’s latest film is set in the world of baseball, after all, the funniest man in Hollywood is a trained sports journalist.
Thank god that he didn’t pursue that career, not that there’s anything wrong with being a journalist of course because we’re all lovely, but our lives would be a lesser place without his films.
Talladega Nights, Semi-Pro and Blades of Glory are just some of his previous efforts to conquer the sporting world and his new documentary ‘The Field’ looks like it could be as funny as his best work.
To begin with, the concept is really strong as Ferrell travels to 10 different teams and plays in 10 positions but in true Ron Burgundy fashion, the ego and sense of unearned greatness isn’t far from the field.
The documentary is set to air on HBO on September 12 and I’m really looking forward to this one.
