WATCH: Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig’s hilarious speech about animation is fantastic

Paul Moore

Hands down, the best thing at the Golden Globes. The audience were in stitches.

With the teleprompter acting up, Jimmy Fallon’s opening segment at the Golden Globes had to be improvised and while some of his jokes landed, it wasn’t quite as good as what we’ve seen from previous hosts like Ricky Gervais.

Then again, Fallon would never be able to come close to matching Gervais’ no-bullshit style.

Aside from the winners, Meryl Streep’s scathing attack on Donald Trump provided the most talked about moments, but what about the laughs?

Well, thank God for Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig.

Take a look as the talented duo manage to make Fantasia and Bambi seem like they’re the most depressing events in the history of cinema.

We absolutely love the little awkward moment when Carell pauses for a moment before asking Wiig what her favourite animated film is.

This is great.
