The Oscar’s would have you believe that Birdman won the award for Best Picture in 2015, but they’ve been lying to you. John Wick won everything that year. Why? Well, it’s only the greatest film in the history of time.
Ok, we might be slightly overselling the superb Keanu Reeves action film a litle bit, but with the sequel set for release on February 17th, now is the perfect chance to reacquaint yourself with the world’s best killer.
If you haven’t seen the original then you’re in for an absolute treat. Aside from the epic action and wonderful gunplay, the plot is the definition of simplicity. A deadly and seemingly unstoppable retired hitman seeks vengeance for… wait for it… the killing of his beloved Beagle puppy, Daisy, at the hands of the Russian mafia.
In John Wick 2, the legendary hitman is forced back out of retirement by a former associate that’s plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.
If the trailer for the sequel didn’t get your adrenaline pumping, this supercut of the original featuring all the best moments of violence, vengeance and mayhem, will definitely do the job.
