This is a brilliant idea.
The problem of homelessness has been at the forefront of conversation in Ireland over the last few months with plenty of awareness and money raised in cities and towns around the country.
There’s been a positive move to help the homeless in Dublin as a café exclusively for people who sleep rough opens tonight.
It’s called Night Café, it can be found on Merchant’s Quay and the Dublin Region Homeless Executive is behind the idea.
The doors open at 11pm and people will be given a cup of tea or coffee, a light meal, clean clothes and the option of taking a shower.
If you see a homeless person on the street, please tell them about café because there’s a chance they mightn’t have heard about it.
