It’s being reported that over 200,000 people are attending the Ploughing Championships in Laois today. Send us a Snapchat (JOE_ie) if you’re down there.

There’s plenty going on there over the three days and a Guinness World Record has already been broken in one of the most Irish skills known to man… making tea.

Lidl put together a “tea team” to try to break the record for the most cups of tea poured in an hour which was set at a massive 1,608.

The Lidl team putting in a stirring performance and managed to make 1,848 cups of tea by the end of the 60 minutes – that’s 240 cups more than the previous record holders.

Here’s a GIF of the team’s motivational coach who was on the scene for the record-breaking feat.
