One resident of Watertown, the location of this morning’s shootout in Boston, had a very close shave as a bullet flew into his apartment, through a chair and into his wall.
There has been more drama this morning in Boston as the two men identified as the chief suspects responsible for the Boston Marathon bombings were involved in a shootout with police.
The two men, so far just identified as ‘white hat’ and ‘black hat’ were involved in an incident at Massachusetts Institute of Technology where a campus police officer was shot dead. Police chased the pair to an area called Watertown where a shootout with police took place.
Andrew Kitzenberg saw it all happen from his third-floor window. He saw the suspects lob explosives at the police and he also saw one, ‘black hat’ run towards police. He has subsequently been confirmed as being killed.
As well as live tweeting the night’s events, which he is still doing at @akitz, Kitzenberg also tweeted this pic, of a stray bullet that entered his apartment.

The other suspect is still at large but with an enormous number of police in pursuit we expect further developments soon.
