“La China”, Mexico’s most notorious female assassin, has been arrested – thanks to her boyfriend.
According to Independent.co.uk, “El Chino”, who was second-in-command to his missus, turned her in to reduce his own sentence once police caught him.
“La China”, whose real name is Melissa Margarita Calderon Ojeda, is believed to have killed over 150 people in the last decade in her role as leader of her gang cartel.
Hector Pedro Camarena Gomez, who went by the alias “El Chino”, took authorities to the mass graves of Ojeda’s victims.
The Mexican drug cartel business is largely male-dominated, but “La China” rose through the ranks before her reign came to an end this past month.
