Definitely bring the brolly…

If any of you can even lift your heads off your pillows this morning, you’re probably going to want to stay in bed as Met Éireann have issued a weather warning for the rest of the day.

The national forecaster issued a status yellow warning that will stay in effect until midnight tonight bringing with it some strong winds and heavy rain.

Raining

The warning is in place for Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford but rain is expected to be widespread throughout the country.

Parts of Leinster and Munster could receive 25-45 mm of rainfall with a danger of flash flooding in some places.

Wind warnings are also in place for southern and eastern coasts as stong southeasterly winds are predicted throughout the day.

We think we’ll go back to bed altogether, things didn’t seem so bad there…
